Ruthin craft centre

I recently visited Ruthin craft centre to see the ‘Made for the table’ and ‘Dine’ exhibition. It was great to see beautiful work by makers and being able to study their craftsmanship. It was interesting to see how people interpret the work as well, some of the ceramics wear were very minimal and contemporary, this form is usually associated with mass produced dinner wear, the environment made people appreciate the craftsmanship which went into making them as it’s in a formal setting. Ruthin would be a great example of a place where my work could be exhibited, it has a great balance for makers who want their work appreciated and sold.
