Because my first Field project was focus on steam bending, I have been thinking of incorporating it into this project, i don’t think steam bending will be the right technique as i would need very thin wood which would break under the tension of the specific curves i need, laminating will be a much safer and practical method to experiment with. I have seen some tea pots use wood as a handle bus I need to research more into how they’re joined together and if it’s practical and visually pleasing.

I really like the simplicity of this design, it looks very contemporary and everything focuses on it’s practicality, it will be interesting to experiment with handles like this, it will definitely bring a new contemporary aspect to insole court.
